The Process
Planning to Become a Wake Robin Resident
Tour
A tour of the Wake Robin community is available by calling the Marketing and Resident Services office at 802.264.5100. A personal tour can be scheduled with a member of the Admissions Team or by a resident. Open Houses are held at Wake Robin on a regular basis. These events allow interested individuals the opportunity to tour homes of residents and to visit the Gentry Community Center and the Aquatic Center.
Interview
An interview with the Director of Marketing and Resident Services, or with the Admissions Counselor, can be an important step in evaluating the Life Care option and the Wake Robin community. An interview can be scheduled by calling the Marketing and Resident Services office.
Wait List
The Wait List for Wake Robin is an important consideration for people interested in having an option of secure and independent retirement living at Wake Robin. Wake Robin has a waiting list for most of its homes. Therefore, joining our wait list is necessary to allow prospects to plan for their future.
Priority Depositor Status
Admission to Wake Robin is normally a three-step process. A person/couple joins the Priority Deposit List by paying a $2000 fully refundable payment and a $250 non-refundable administrative fee. A number is assigned to establish a place in line for the admissions process. Priority Depositor status does not guarantee admission; however, it is the first level of the Wait List. All admissions to Wake Robin begin at the Priority Depositor level.
Interim List Status
As a Priority Depositor, a person/persons may move onto the Interim List when a move to Wake Robin is planned within 24 months. An additional refundable $2000 deposit is made. Interim List placement is determined by Priority Depositor number. At this level, two choices are made: the home types and a desired date for a move to Wake Robin.
Ready List Status
Prospective residents move from the Interim List to the Ready List (by Priority Number) when they wish to move to Wake Robin within a year. It does not guarantee prospective residents that a home will be available within that time. Once on the Ready List, prospective residents will have a financial review. The physical examination occurs when the Admissions Department believes that a homemaybe be available within six months . Once eligibility is determined by the Admissions Committee, a Life Care contract is offered. |
