Life Care

Wake Robin offers housing, support services, common spaces for dining and activities, a wellness center, and an on-campus 83 bed Health Center. The Health Center provides both residential and skilled nursing care.

Life care is a long-term care insurance product. Residents pay a one-time entrance fee and an ongoing monthly service fee. For this, residents receive occupancy of their apartment or cottage, and long-term care in our on-campus Health Center. Whether a transfer to the Health Center is temporary or permanent, a resident's monthly fee obligations remain unchanged. Residents find it helpful to think of the Entrance Fee as an annuity for their long-term care. The bottom line is that Wake Robin residents avoid the costly per diem rates for skilled nursing care and residential care.

Why is the Life Care product popular?

When residents transfer to the Health Center, their spouses, partners, siblings, and friends in the community are never more than a few steps away. Wake Robin residents have planned for the future and remain in control of the decisions that affect them, especially the decisions that involve the delivery of health care services. Adult children gain the peace of mind that comes from knowing that their parents' future health care needs have been prearranged. For them, a decision to move to Wake Robin is the best gift a parent can give to them.
