So, what’s new for 2011?  Let’s start with “First Night Wake Robin!”   For the first time in Wake Robin history, the annual  New Year’s Eve party ushered in 2011 with the big band sounds of live music!  The Green Mountain Swing Band, a local and regional favorite among big band and jazz fans, performed hits from Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey and Benny Goodman.  Other events of the evening included a cocktail party with specialty food stations, and plenty of dancing.

After the confetti was swept away and the final balloons dropped, we've started 2011 in fine style.  In February, “Bon Voyage,” a play written and directed by Wake Robin residents will make its debut.  The Wake Robin Singers and Bell Choir will get back to practice for the spring concerts, and the snow shoeing group is planning it’s midnight walks, weather permitting.  Think snow - and stay tuned for pictures!
