Veterans Day was celebrated with some of the contributors to the anthology: Our Great War: Memoirs of World War II from the Wake Robin Community. The Flying Pig Bookstore, located in Shelburne Village, hosted the authors for the evening's event. The individuals share their thoughts and stories about World War II with the attentive audience, fielding questions and listening to a few stories from fellow veterans who attended the reading. The evening was filled with recollections that were riveting, heartbreaking and sometimes humerous.
