Being a Wake Robin resident is about living the life you choose, unburdened by house maintenance, yardwork, snow shoveling, cleaning and other homebound chores. Here, you’re free to pursue your interests, whether long-loved or newly found. You’ll find a community of dynamic neighbors eager to encourage, support and share in the fun. Your Home Your apartment or cottage will be freshly painted and carpeted, to your taste. Every home includes one covered parking space and in-home emergency response system. Your monthly fee covers one main meal each day, weekly housekeeping, basic cable, wireless Internet access, and all utilities except telephone. Your Fitness You can start your day with yoga, a swim in the heated pool, a workout in the Fitness Room, a walk on the 3.5-mile trail system, a tennis match or a little practice on the putting green. And you’ll find others to share your workout. Your Dining You may have lunch or dinner in Wake Robin’s elegant but comfortable dining room or in the Garden Cafe. Our dining services director is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. She makes sure that our menu is top-quality, and we are a member of the farm-to-table Vermont Fresh Network. Sit where you like, with friends old or new. No special attire required (many male residents have happily renounced ties). To view a sample menu, click here. Your Social Life Activities at Wake Robin are resident-driven, and residents head up more than 50 committees and activities. Your options range from ping pong to English country dance, from watercolor to silversmithing, from gardening to woodworking, from singing in the chorus to performing original plays. Your Well Being Regularly scheduled transportation will take you to shopping, appointments, concerts and other area activities. Wake Robin’s Wellness Clinic provides health screenings and preventive care. Residential care (assisted living), skilled nursing and long-term care are available at the Linden Health Center. Linden residents continue to take part in community life and dining as they are able. |
